I am a Chemical Engineer from the Universitat Jaume I since 2008, Master in Science, Technology and Applications of Ceramic Materials from the Universitat Jaume I since 2009 and I got my PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Universitat Jaume I in 2013. I am currently Associate Professor at the Universitat Jaume I, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Construction and I belong to the Multiphase Fluids Group. The research topics followed during my research career focus on improving the efficiency of industrial processes involving heat and mass transfer. My research interests include: - Optimization of the spray drying process of aqueous suspensions: study of the drying kinetics of nanofluid droplets, particle packing and mechanical properties of granulated materials. - Use of nanofluids based on water, thermal oils and phase change materials in industrial applications. Synthesis, stabilization and characterization of nanofluids for the optimization of heat transfer and energy storage applications. - Formulation and characterization of solar nanofluids for the improvement of solar radiation absorption processes with different applications. I collaborate with several international research groups as noticed from the joint publications and research stays followed at the University of Leeds and the University of Birmingham. I am member of the COST Action “Nanouptake – Overcoming Barriers to Nanofluids Market Uptake” whose aim is to create a Europe-wide network of leading R+D+i institutions, and of key industries, to develop and foster the use of nanofluids as advanced heat transfer/thermal storage materials to increase the efficiency of heat exchange and storage systems.
